Golden India Cuisine Review : New Restaurant at Redmond, WA

Golden India Cuisine
7625 170th Avenue Northeast
Redmond, WA 98052
(425) 898-2844
Category: North Indian Food, serves Veg & Non-veg both.
Overall Impression: Great food, nice ambience, nice & clean crockery, great service & extremely friendly people with punjabi influence but little expensive for À la carte.
Location: This new restaurant has come right next to RedRobin & Mc Donald Drive Thru at Redmond Town Center.
I visited the restaurant couple of time since it’s opened & found it to be the best Indian food in Redmond / Bellevue/ Kirkland/ Bothell & Seattle area so far. In terms of pricing, Golden India Cuisine sounds pretty good for lunch buffet at $8.95 – quite competitive with lunch buffet price at Kanishka ($10) & Preet’s ($8), Kabab Place, Mehfil etc. but  À la carte is little overpriced. Most of the vegetarian dishes are priced at/above $10.95 with regular quantity like just enough for one person. Regular dinner for two person at ~$35 is something I definitely consider on higher side in this area.
Another good thing I found in this restaurant was “Glass were clean & nice looking” unlike any other Indian restaurant in this area. I always used to wonder why is it that Indian restaurants in this area can’t have decent (if not great) serving utensils – Mayuri Restaurant is still fine but rest in this area are pretty crappy. The kind of crockery they use, I will just throw away at my home. Kanishka, Preet’s, Udupi, Raaga & Shamiana all have been bad in terms of crockery – let’s hope Golden India folks maintain the cleanliness for long time & other Indian Restaurants get to upgrade their crockery soon!
